fabulously contemplated by StreaterI have heard about this project in the hotel world for the last couple of years, and to tell you the truth: I never thought they would pull it off. But some amazing engineers did. Now, because of them, you can get married and have your honeymoon….Under Water!!!
They have 24 suites that are accessed by an elevator that plunges 40 feet into the water to deliver you to your room. They also provide 48 bungalows on land for those a little nervous about sleeping with the sharks…
They aren’t taking reservations yet, but they do have a package set up now. Its for 7days and 6nights on the Poseidon Mystery Island (in Figi). The Package Includes:
~Transportation from the airport on their private airplane.
~4 nights in a beach or over-water bungalow
~2 nights in an undersea suite
~A submarine dive
~A beginners class for piloting a mini-sub
~Wine tasting class
and
~Gourmet meals and drinks
….all for a mere $15,000 per person! (thats right: thats $30,000 for a couple!)

All I can say is WOW! I can’t believe they pulled this off as well. Although this sounds very romantic and something I would want to definitely see and experience first hand (think about all the sea life - up close and personal - fascinating), I do not think I could spend an entire night under water, maybe a few hours. I just have this thing about being surrounding by water and not seeing any land and the thought of knowing that I’m forty feet below…somebody better bring me a great tasting bottle of wine to settle my nerves.
