Just droppin’ in to say hi !!
fabulously contemplated by Miss Lemon Drop
So you are probably asking… Who is this Lemon Drop and what makes her tick ? I am a San Francisco bay area native (grew up in the ‘burbs, now live in the city) and I’m marrying a Pennsylvania boy. We met two years ago online, (which makes sense since we are both BIG internet addicts. (He has an excuse since it’s his job, I’m still trying to come up with my excuse !) We also both love movies, traveling, cooking, and exploring everything our fabulous city has to offer)
We had been dating just shy of a year and a half when Mr. Lemon Drop proposed. It was a day I won’t forget, and it was a COMPLETE surprise. We had done no ring gazing or shopping together or anything of that nature. One day, he showed up at my place VERY early, made breakfast in bed, took me Go Kart racing and out to lunch, then home, where he helped with my laundry. (all of which he did because they are things I told him at one point or another “You NEVER do _____ for me”, so he made the proposal 24 hours of “I never” and we did things all day that I told him he “never did”)
Then he convinced me to go for a walk on the beach (which normally I would’ve been ALL over…. except it was grey and misty) In the end, we went, and while we’re there walking along I see this Sandcastle with will you marry me

I started bawling immediately, he reads me a letter from a card he gave me when we very first started dating and some other fabulous things; got on one knee and slipped the ring on my finger. It was a magical day never to be forgotten!
Ever since then (we began planning about three weeks later) I’ve been busy researching, reading, and doing things for our Sept 6th wedding at the San Francisco Zoo. The hope is to get a magical, whimsical, natural, “midsummer’s night dream feel” (with no fairies LOL) in a purple, green and cream (with some silver touches) to compliment the natural setting of the zoo.
I was so excited to hear the fabulous Terrica was doing this planning series, so of course I wanted in, I am honored to be included. You also may be asking yourself why I chose to be Lemon Drop ? It is my favorite drink, of course ! I love almost anything lemon, Lemon bars, lemon candies, lemon cake, it’s simple as that !
Hopefully I can give some other brides ideas/insights through my process, so stay tuned and plan with me !

Precious

Midsummer’s Night’s Dream! I love it and I always said if I could have another dream wedding that would be my theme! You could give the flower girls little fairy wings! And there so many great quotes about love and marriage in that play.
